    Exhaust manifolds without gaskets

Following up a previous thread, (in order to install manifolds without gaskets)if I have the manifolds "skimmed" to true up the faces but don't do the same for the head faces, that assumes that the head faces are true enough. Is this a good assumption?

Yes - the heads are very stout and would not warp and cause issues....as long as you have smooth mating surfaces for the manifolds.....Craig

Torquing the bolts might be a good idea to insure the life of the seal.
