    spark plug gapping

on a T.I system with BB are you still using the old .35 gap or going to .45 ? i am using delco 43 and just wondered . I have read several posts stating these TI systems are great and wondered if they produce better combustion with the increased gap or not.

Once you have enough ignition energy to light the fire, more ignition energy does not "improve combustion", but higher energy means that adequate spark is provided with greater degradation of components such as fouled plugs or high secondary wire resistance. The TI has about double the per spark energy as the single point and timing is probably a bit more accurate.

As far as I can recall the plug gap for TI was specified the same as the single point system - .035" AC heat range "3", though OE, is a bit cold for normal driving, and your plugs will probably run cleaner with a heat range 4 or 5.
