Does anyone out there remember a '65 coupe in around the Olympia, Wash. area that was possibly painted red, white, and blue circa 1975 or so? It is possible that it was sporting Cragar 5 spoke mags and a big block. Also the registered owner was a Monica Baker, I think. I'm in Canada so tracking this down is a bit of a mystery. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. The car migrated to Canada in 1977.

Re: '65 Coupe from Wash. State
Try contacting Larry and Karen Johnson @ Corvette and High Performance. WWW.corvhp.com. They run an OUTSTANDING Corvette business in Olympia and have been avid members of the Olympia corvette club since around 1972. If anyone would remember this car, I would put my money on them.Good Luck

Re: '65 Coupe from Wash. State
R.D. --- This might be a lead; A bunch of us were at the Big Sky Corvette meet in either Kalispell or Missoula Montana (too much Coors), in May of '77. I took a picture of a '65 (my guess, from the door pillar vents) with a dark blue front end, about back to the firewall, with white stars. From there rearward, it has red and white stripes (front-to-back alignment). Looks like a tan interior, and as the hood is up, I can see a compressor for air conditioning. It also has turbine-type mags (Americans ?), L-88 type hood, and a front spoiler. The front licence plate reads Montana # 7.20577, and I can make out a "for sale" sign in the rear window. As this event was about 300 miles from Olympia WA, I thought I'd pass this along to a fellow Canuck.- Top
