    Aftermarket Hoses

I originally installed the correct, ribbed thin walled hoses for the coolant reservior overflow, fuel fill overflow, and windshield washer feeds. These hoses had always "sweated" a greasy substance over their entire surface, almost as if they are constantly melting, or breaking down. Every so often, I wipe them off to remove the slipperyness, but it always comes back after a while. Few days ago, I removed the washer bottle for cleaning, and I noticed a buildup of slime with the washer fluid, which was yellowish-white in color. I am thinking that the alcohol in the WSW fluid is reacting with the inferior rubber product of the hose.
Has anybody else experienced this annoying problem with the ribbed, thin walled hoses?

Yes. I have noticed this on the vaccum hose that runs from the manifold to the A/C switch on the heater box.
