I just received a VERY well done "phish" from someone posing as Ebay. The message was from "aw-confirm@eBay.com" -and the message "TKO Notice: Urgent Safeharbor Department Notice." They were requesting you to click the link (which looked EXACTLY like EBay's login page) and then to go and change the way you pay your fees to Ebay-such as from Bank Account to a Credit Card. I had just received the real thing from EBay a couple days ago billing my Bank Account-and compared the two. It was ALMOST identical!
DO NOT click the links- I have reported this to EBay.
A way to check if the email is from really who they say it is-
If using "Outlook" or "Outlook Express" for your mail-
1. Right Click on Message Header-and drop down box will appear.
2. Click on "Properties"
3. Another window will open-click at the top on "Details"
4. At the top it will say who it is REALLY from-like eBay.com- if its a phoney some other sender will come up-like "www.scammer.com."
Hope this helps out.
