I remember now why I stopped purchasing from Chicago Corvette Supplly. I Recently returned an item for credit, per their procedures. They received the item March 23rd, per my fedex tracking, and still haven't posted credit to my mastercard. I made over 10 calls to their "returns dept", only to get their recording, no matter when I called. Their explanation was weak, and to date they haven't issued me credit. Fortunately, as usual, I used my credit card and will simply dispute and not pay that portion of my bill. They also sent me a part that was supposed to be original, which turned out to be a repro, and expected me to accept it anyway with some BS explanation. Well, like I said, now I remember why I stopped dealing with them....Just a heads up...for what it's worth...

Rob, Good luck with your CC . I was in a similar situation & CC visa said they do not stop pmt. unless lost card & forgery> Thanks for the tip on Chicago.

My mastercard company is easy to place a dispute with. I simply don't pay the charge and indicate why. (Even if I've already paid the charge in full, I have 60 days to dispute it). It's taken off my bill while they check it out. Any disputes I've ever had were resolved in my favor, with the charge being permanantly removed from my account.

I have had good luck with my credit card companys also. I should have done that when I got stiiffed on a jack I bought from E-BAY. I payed with pay-pal and went through thier dispute program and it all went in favor of the seller.I wish I had disputed that one with the credit card company instead. The jack was TOTAL 100% JUNK.I have seen this seller on there before so I figured they would protect thier own.

Disputing a credit card charge falls under the the Banking Regulation E. Never hesitate to use it - it is there to protect consumers.

When I use PayPal for eBay purchases, I ALWAYS use the "pay by credit card" option instead of the (default) direct bank account debit so I have the option of disputing the charge through my credit card issuer if the deal goes sour.

I got ripped off by this guy, mailed him a check for a Carb Tag...said he never got check, sent him copy of his signature and the date and the bank the check cleared etc. No response after many emails....This guy is on the ebay is is nothing but a crook.
