Could anyone provide the part number of the cast iron nose piece?

Same as for SB 10.4" flywheels -- 1968122

Was originally known as # 1957885 (until Feb '68, when changed to 1967319, but by Jan '70 was known under the title part #). Don't know the physical differences. But isn't this part cast aluminum, and not iron ?

Those part numbers are correct. The GM #1968122 is cast aluminum and I believe that the earlier part numbers were, too.
