67 Corvette Wiper Arms

The information on the back side of the driver side windshield wiper arm on my car is: ONE OR MORE PATENTS, 2564819, 3378874, made in usa, TRICO. The numbers don't match any of the 66, 67 numbers in the Noland Adams book. Can anybody tell me what this arm came off of? It has a dull finish and looks just like an original 67 corvette arm.

Tom - As described, the information stamped on the plate on the underside of the w/s/w arm is identical to that stamped on plates on the set of NOS GM w/s/w arms, i.e. rod assembly, Part Numbers 3915861 & 3915862, that I have. According to the 1967 Corvette AIM, UPC 1 ASM, Sheet D3, Revision Record, P/Ns 3915861-2 Rod Asms replaced P/Ns 3888297-8 Rod Asms 11-9-66.

So assuming the w/s/w arm has the appropriate '67 Corvete arm configuration with the one rivet where the upper rod attaches to the intermediate body piece and the adjusting screw on the intermediate body piece, it's the w/s/w arm that you'd expect on a 1967 Corvette built sometime after mid-November 1966 (more likely these didn't start getting on to production cars until early calendar year 1967).

FYI, the plate on earlier mid-year w/s/w arms had different information stamped on it and the plate also had a different configuration w/o the 2 sets of small rectangular notches on the sides near the top and bottom ends of the plate that appears on the 3915861-2 arms.

Those are the Patent Office issued file numbers for the 'invention' and have nothing to do the particular wiper arm in terms of it's GM assigned PN. To tell what the arm is and whether it's factory correct for Corvette, you have to go by visual inspection...

Thanks for the information. They are identical in appearance to the originals on my other 67. So if they are just patent numbers on the back side and not part numbers, then I guess I can assume they are original.
