Is it leaking from where the base of the distributor meets the intake manifold surface? There's supposed to be a circular gasket under the flange on the distributor.
Sander, just a thought, but if you have a leak in the oil pressure line or fitting at the block, it could possibly spray oil on the base of the distriutor making it appear that oil is leaking from the distributor.
Best regards,
Charlie
Others have mentioned the distributer gasket and the oil pressure fitting as suspects. Another suspect is the rear seal on the intake manifold. I had a leak from that seal and it took a while to pin down the source. I had to clean the whole area squeaky clean, then run the engine at about 2000 RPM for several minutes while I watched the area continuously. Perhaps a similar approach would identify the specific source of your leak.
