    water in cylinder

I had white smoke coming from my left exhaust on my C2. My first thought was blown head gasket. I had a little amount of oil in coolant, but no overheating.

I take off the left side head, and the number 7 cylinder is filled with water. The r/s head is fine, and the other l/s cylinders look fine. The plug in the #7 cylinder looked like a new plug, it was washed so many times.

I don't believe I have a crack in the block, where should I look on the head for problems ?

    Ron,

I woud suggest taking it to a reliable shop and have them pressure test the assembly as is, if at all possible. Also check it for "true flatness," they have been known to "warp." (not in the sense of Star Trek either) Warpage will leave space or lack of clamping force to the cylinder block and allow seepage, weepage, or just plain lots of flow from coolant circuit.

If this issue just spontaineously appeared Ron, I'd take a hard look at the head gasket.

If you've been dealing with this issue for a while, I would agree with having the mill taken to a reputable machine shop to have the block and both heads checked for warping.
