Re: Cn'V Corvettes in Arizona
Hi Mike,
I was all ready to buy a 1958 red all #s matching Corvette from Cn'V. What year car are you looking for ? First I called Desert Corvette Assoc. They had one their members also an NCRS member, come to look at the car with me. It was a real forgery in every sense of the word. NCRS & DCA member Steven J. Neel saved me 50,000. Thanks to Steven I now have a beautiful 1958 & I was told by NCRS she is the only unrestored 58 in the country. I am now a member of Desert Corvette Assoc & NCRS. I live in Scottsdale & have great people who take very good care of my 58. It would be my pleasure to help you get the best people for the year car you are looking at. Cn'V may not be reputable, but I wouldn't hold it against the car. The car you are looking at may be a good one. Just take one of these very knowledgable folks over there with you & give the car a good going over. If you would send me an email, I will give you my number & I can help get you in touch with the right people to help you. I didn't like the dealer I bought my car from, but it turned out to be a great car !
Cheers,

Re: Cn'V Corvettes in Arizona
When I was looking for a 72, I called them and happened to be out there visiting my daughter. I looked at a recently painted 72 that was claimed to be all original and almost all there. Well, except for the speakers in the door, the aftermarket radio in the dash, the torn seats, and the dirt and debris on the carpets. Lots of stuff missing from under the hood and aftermarket items added. I was amazed that they would completely paint a car, put it out for show, and not bother to vacuum the interior.
I also remember reading about someone who who bought a ZR-1 from them and then found out it had been wrecked, totaled and the title washed through a huge number of states until they came up with a clean title. I recall the fellow was suing them but I don't remember the outcome.

Re: Cn'V Corvettes in Arizona
I sold a Silver '67 nom, non original trans, a/c vert. about a year ago to a fellow in Wisc. This vette had a one piece replacement front end on it, needed rear spindle berings (they were ok for crusing, but it was the next thing on my list), needed paint (10 footer), yada, yada, yada. Nice driver a/c vert., and I got a fair price for it ($30K). I saw the car adveritzed @ Cn'V about 6 months later described as original engine/drivetrain (327/350 no less), and unhit body--asking $55K. I called to ask a few questions, confirmed that it was the same car, didn't let them know what I knew, and that car was sold inside of a week. Buyer beware. G.- Top

Re: Cn'V Corvettes in Arizona Driveline
I was considering a '62 they had. Made a few phone calls to NCRS people in the area, had an inspector look at it, and talked to one of the sales people. Just didn't have a comfortable feeling about CNV. I passed.
Ended up with my dream car a few months later - a whole lot cheaper.- Top

Re: Cn'V Corvettes in Arizona
I've been to Cn'V a few times and I can assure you that at the very least they are jerks. I once went there with a buddy of mine to check out some of their cars. We drove up in my LT-1 and the sales guy (or owner, I'm not sure) came over to check it out. His reaction to my car was "You don't really think those are the original miles do you?" What an a$$-hole. We promptly left and they lost any chance of me ever being a customer. My 2 cents on Cn'V.

Re: Cn'V Corvettes in Arizona
Mike: I have first hand knowledge from a fellow within the last 6 months bought a red 1967 vert from CnV Arizona for $55K that had the full safety and mechanical check by this establishment. Sold as a solid c/2 car. He bought is over the net and on the phone with no other independant inspection. Car arrived by transport to Canada, failed inspection, oil spewing out of carb, braking issues, frame issues etc, etc. Reputable Corvette shop up here got it road worthy and passed inspection. Total bill $9,000 dollars. Beware. Inspect your purchase with an expert..........- Top
