    63 SWC windshield wiper motor

When I removed the wiper pump assy from the windshield wiper motor assy for inspection, I noticed, that the plastic index wheel, which activates the pump, has nothing holding it in place. Should'nd it have some sort of clip holding it in place ? The shaft dia. is .198" there is no groove for a split ring. What type of fastener is missing ? Where can I get a replacement ? Or does it need a fastener ? Or will I have to send the unit in for repair ? The unit is otherwise in working order.

Mine is held in place by a horseshoe shaped split ring clip on the end of the shaft. Send me your email and I'll send you a photo of it.
