    Holley Carb.

I need help determinig the date of my holley carb. The numbers are
    3886091-AN
    list-3418-1

I think it's an orginal 1967 L88 carb but can't figure out the date. I thought they were only 3 numbers?
    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Holley Carb.

it's not a 67 dated holley. the midyear holleys did use a 3 alpha-numeric dating system. what you've got is an over the counter service replacement.if it were a jan 67, 3rd week dated holley, it'd be stamped 713. sorry, mike

      It's still a great carb!

Works great on any big block with the plenum divider removed, but you need to be sure to keep it stagger-jetted. In addition, the Holleys were usually 2 jet sizes too rich on the primaries and 4 jet sizes too rich on the secondaries. Look at the old Chevy power manual from the 70's for a good starting point.

By the way, it would still work fine on an L88 and you'ld only lose about 2 points for the date code!
