    67 Coupe Stainless.

Be very cautious a 420/430 stainless does not weld anywhere near as good as a 300 series. The metal difference may still show between the fill rod and the actual molding.

    67 Coupe Stainless.

I'm trying to get several pieces of 67 Coupe windshield and rear window mouldings repaired as the previous owner drilled small holes in them to install.I thought the mouldings were stainless steel, however a magnet will pick them up. Can anyone tell me what material can be used to weld up these holes.

These moldings are low grade stainless which is magnetic just like original shielding. You can tell repo shielding from original by using a magnet to test it. Rich #2276

A good welder with a small stainless welding rod should be able to fill the holes. As the trim is thin metal he will have to be careful with heat.. Then you have to buff a lot to get polish. good luck
