There are no front spindle mounting bolts, per se, on any 1963-82 Corvette. I assume that you're referring to the 2 steering arm-to-steering knuckle (spindle) attaching bolts. If so, you won't find the torque specs for these in the AIM since this was part of an assembly used in PRODUCTION. The folks at St. Louis had no role in the installation of these, particular, bolts.

Beyond that, these bolts are a few of the fastners that GM forgot to provide any torque specs for anywhere that I have found. You won't find them in any edition of any C3 Chevrolet or Corvette Factory Service Manual. At least, none that I've perused looking for these specs.

However, we do know that for C3s these bolts are 1/2"-20 thread size and are of GM 300M material (SAE Grade . They are retained with a Stover-type lock nut of GM 301M material (SAE Grade . The Stover lock nut makes the measurement of applied torque difficult and that may be why GM never published specs for this. In any event, I use a torque spec of 100 to 120 lb/ft for these bolts. That's in the range of the "standard" torque values for this size bolt, thread, and material classification.
