I think that the current Delco replacement shocks will do you just fine. They're a gas-charged shock and will perform quite well. Their configuration is similar to originals, too, although not as similar as the last generation of Delco replacement shocks.
You should be able to purchase these shocks for about $125-150 per CAR SET.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

You indicated that price was the reasion why you didn't KYB shock.
KYB and Delco run around the same price and both are excellant shocks.
I installed KYB's in my 64 and am very pleased with the handeling.
Good Luck

Re: C2 Shock Absorber Recommedation
I have used KYB gas-a-just on several cars over the years. Always performed well and they are economical. The stickers come off easily & they can be readily painted gray/blue like GM. One word of caution, however. I have had 3 instances of fluid leaks on rear shocks & had to replace all three. In all cases, it was after winter storage (cold/Wisconsin) with the suspension in the full 'rebound' position (wheel off ground). No doubt my fault for not elevating the trailing arm ... I am not sure if other shock brands would do the same thing. Finally learning, I'm now cautious & block up the trailing arm even on short excursions (tire/wheel changes, etc) on the rear with the KYBs.- Top

I have the Delco parts system numbers, but the GM part system numbers that I have are "confusing".
530-315---front (possibly, GM #88947653)
520-394---rear (may be updated with a new number or may be discontinued)In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
