unusal radiator cap?

I came across a RC#15 radiator cap today. It appears identical to the typical RC#15 cap except the AC and 15# rc-15 are reversed.In other words the AC is on the right and RC15 is on the the left.Anyone ever see this configuration before?

Yes, it's one of the many variants out there. The RC-15 was produced over a LOT of years and it was used for many different applications besides Corvette. Undoubtedly, there were many sets of tooling used and, likely, it was produced at more than one plant.
