    C2 Heater core-Again

Was able to remove firewall side of heater unit but am still unable to get interior side out feels like something stopping it. Does the internal works have to be in a certain position? The heater core had been replaced as there was not a thin nut holding interior side in place, I do not want to damage any parts during the duct work removal. Thanks you all for your previous help, any better ideas?...........Joe

IIRC there is a open end steel bracket riveted to the upper LH side of the heater core (as viewed from the cockpit) that mounts to a stud in the firewall at about the center of the car. It's tough to both "unhook" and "hook" the bracket over the stud, so you just have to keep repositioning and wiggling the heater assembly until you get the bracket unhooked/hooked from the stud. Be sure to remove the defroster duct and center heater duct before you remove the rest of the assembly.

      Joe,

The attaching point "hook" Duke referrs to is also the first point to be attached when putting the inside heater box back in, with the nut hand tight.
