On my 327/300 a few of the push rod end of the rockers rub on the side of the valve cover slightly. I can see no appreciable wear on the studs. Is there such a thing as an oversize rocker? Has anyone else seen this?
Thank you,
Brian

I thought they may be on upsidedown but the clip for the temp wire is in the right place. I did however get these at a swap meet. Is it possible there is a wire clipe on the exhaust manifold side for any other model? They are the correct type valve covers.

There are rockers out there that may be oversized. Some have 1.6 or 1.7 ratios instead of the stock 1.5 configuration. I'm not sure what the scope of geometrical changes would be for these, but it is possible to find anything if you didn't build up the engine yourself.
In the event you find you do need to replace any of the rocker arm studs, there is a kit available to convert to screw-in studs, without removing the heads. Just in case you have to go that route...
