283 duntov cam-lash valves???

Getting ready to lash valves on my 61 F.I.

Is there a way to adjust intake and exhaust on two differnt cylinders at the same time ??? If so, in what order can I do this ?? I'm doing them cold and trying to save finding TDC 8 times..

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated..

Set the timing mark in the #1 TDC position and adjust:
exhaust valves on 1, 3, 4, and 8
intake valves on 1, 2, 5, and 7

Set the timing mark on #6 (one revolution) and adjust:
exhaust valves on 2, 5, 6, 7
intake valves on 3, 4, 6, 8

I set the cold lash at 0.010 on the intakes and 0.015 on the exhaust.

Has been perfect ever since.

When adjust valves I use a method that does not require setting TDC

For mechanical lifters I set the exhaust when the intake has gone past full open and is about 1/2 way closed. I then set the intake when the exhaust starts to open. I warm up the engine and then remove the valve cover before I start the adjustment. The cover is then installed, the engine run to warm up again so the other side can be adjusted. (Before starting it helps the remove and reinstall the covers cold.)I also connect a remote starter button so the valves can be watched when the engine is cranked.

With new cam installations, I adjust the valves cold and then again hot after cam brake in.
