Re: C2 Rear Leaf Spring
I can tell you the 63 is different in construction the the rest of the years, but can't really help you on other years...so the answer is there are variations in the leaf spring. Some have 9 leafs some have 7 leafs, and the method the leafs are held together are different. I am sure you will here from more folks that a much more experts then I am..- Top

Re: C2 Rear Leaf Spring
Ralph------
The leaf spring used in PRODUCTION for all 1964-1974 Corvettes WITHOUT F-40/F-41 was the same. This was a 9 leaf spring with 6 curved leaves, 3 "flat" leaves, graphite-impregnated polyethylene liners with edges for leaf alignment, and slightly "upturned" ends for all leafs except the bottom, curved leaf.
The 63-74 F-40/F-41 leaf spring used in PRODUCTION was the same. It was a 7 leaf spring with all curved leaves, and liners and leaf ends as described above.
The 1963 standard spring was different than the 64+. It was a 9 leaf spring with all curved leaves. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
