    TCS 71 454

    I need help on how to run the TCS on my 71, the wire that comes up from the trans switch, what does it hook into? any one have a diagram of the TCS?

      Lyndon, do you have the GM 1971 Service Manual? My 72 manual has the TCS wiring in it, as well as a diagnostic process for figuring the system out. If you don't find it, email me off line and I will scan the page for you. Pretty straight forward design.

          Gary, Lyndon, the 71 shop manual does not have the correct wiring schemetic for the TCS. Use the 72 shop manual and other than the solenoid, everything else is the same. GM mistake but probably the only one that they have ever made.

              Since I only have the 72 manual, it looks like I may be able to copy that then. Thanks.

              as mentioned, isn't this a CEC, which I assumed stands for combined emission control?

                  Yes, 1971 is actually CEC but functions basically the same as a TCS system
