I wanted to know more about a problem I am having with my corvette. I was installing my rebuilt engine back into my corvette. once everything was hooked up I was using the starter to rotate the motor over to install the torque converter bolts. Everything was working great. After about fifteen minutes later I went to fire the engine off for the break in period and I turned the key and nothing. I tested the battery and it was good. I wanted to know if changing the ignition switch was the right way to go or am I just chasing my tail. I would appreciate any help on this matter. Thank you

Re: Ignition Issues C3
If my 'nothing' you mean there were no interior lights or other cockpit power, in addition to the starter simply failing to crank the engine, you have probably blown the protective fusible link that's wrapped inside the wiring harness at the starter motor. It's there for ultimate protection against wiring harness melt down and when it goes, literally everything comes to a screaching halt in the cabin...- Top
