    Intake Manifold ID Help

    Hello All,

    I friend of my came accross 2 BB Chev. square port alum. intake manifolds,
    # 6269318 and 3933163. I have not been able to ID them. Can someone help please.

    the 163 was the '68 up pass car 396-427 intake, I don't believe with a Corveyye application, but lots of Chevelles, Camaro's and others with SHP Bigblock engines. I'm not familiar with the other number.

        the 3933163 is still sold by GM Perf Parts,was used on LS-6 and 454/502 HO crate engines

          Yup. It was used on the GM #366250 crate "LS-6". However, it was never used on any PRODUCTION LS-6, Corvette or Chevelle. The current version of the manifold is no longer cast by Winters Foundry and, so, the "snowflake" casting symbol is no more.

            GM #6269318 was, indeed, a big block, rectangular port, aluminum manifold. It is similar to the 3933163. However, it was either a SERVICE-only or SERVICE and Marine manifold. It was never used on any PRODUCTION Chevrolet big block engine. I don't know how it differs from the 3933163.
