my strikers were sandblasted when I got my car. What was the original finish? Couldn't find answer in archives. THanks

Randy,
The strikes were diecast smooth and had a slight Chromate tint to them. It is all but impossible to recreate the look of new ones on strikes that have been blasted. About the closest you can get is to polish them and then zinc plate them followed by a chromate dip. If judging is in your future, you would be probably be better off finding a nice set of originals to use.
