Does anyone know if a crack on the inside of a t-top will eventually spread to the outside? The nut was loose on the rear stud of my 78 pace car mirrored top and when I tightened it, I heard that gut wrenching sound...craaaack. The crack is a few inches long on the inside blue tint part, but nothing is visible on the outside. I'm hoping it's laminated, layered glass and is isolated to the inside. Fortunately I got my Top Flight last week with these original dated tops!

Unfortunately, my experience is cracks in glass WILL propagate unless you act early to fix them. The 'glue' kits from Permatex do work, but it takes some experience learning how to work the glue down frimly/fully into the glass. The windshield repair guys do a MUCH better job using tiny diamond tipped drills, vacuum suction machines, Etc.
Generally, they only charge something like $30 to repair a crack... I'd say you've nothing to lose at this point!!!
