    66 Alternator Overcharging Resolved

A few weeks back I posted about how I was getting 17vdc at the battery. Many of you mentioned checking grounds. I finally got to spend some time troubleshooting today and the problem turned out to be a broken ground wire at the alternator. The insulation was holding the wire in the ring terminal but the wire was broken. It's amazing how these seemingly complicated problems usually have relativly simply solutions. I guess it's just getting to the solution part that can be complicated. Thanks to everyone for their help...P.J.
