Any ideas on the value of a '65 coupe 327/300 numbers matching, air car, added side pipes, repro knock offs? It had a restoration about 5 years ago and still shows well. White/Blue interior. Thanks Ted

Re: C2 '65 Coupe Value
I have a '65 coupe that was just appraised last week.
it's has a body-off restoration and is just finishing up at the paint shop for a new paint job.
my car has the 365hp motor but no A/C. typically the 365hp will bring a little more than the 300hp but your factory A/C tends to add $5k - $8k more resale value.
mine was appraised at $52k by a well known and well respected Corvette specialty restoration shop here on the east coast (they know the car but did not do the restoration so should be pretty unbiased). Realistically, that amount may be a bit on the high side if I decided to try to sell it (which I never will) but it works well for insurance reasons.
Depending on the condition of your car and with the factory A/C you are probably in the range of $40k - $50k.
bottom line really comes down to that the real value is simply what someone is willing to pay for it if you are selling it. All the guesswork, appraisals, and numbers from everywhere don't mean much until you have a buyer with cash in hand and willing to shell it out, than you will really see what the true value in the market is for your car.- Top
