1961 sequence of assembly

Bought a 1961 Vette in boxes after it was disassembled by the previous owner. Am about to begin assembly of the under-dash stuff. Can anyone advise me where to find the sequence for installation of firewall insulation, air vent assy., wiring harness, wiper assy., heater box, hand brake assy., pedal assy., etc. I would like to do this job once instead of finding that I need to remove previously installed items in order to install something else. The only thing I can think of would be the shop manuals which usually list the components to remove in order to access a particular piece. I don't think you are going to find anything as comprehensive as you want and it seems the manuals gloss over the interior components.

I would also suggest getting an assembly drawing manual if you don't have one. If your car is like mine, you will find that many extraneous parts have disappeared over the years or fallen out of the boxes.

Thanks for the replies folks. Didn't think there was such information. Guess I was hoping someone did this job and wrote down the sequence or could warn me on what not to do.

Actually, the sequence in your post is pretty good. I would recommend installing the wiper transmissions and cables first though, then the defroster bezels and under dash inlets. The insulation must be installed before the heater. Hope this helps.
