    TWHPNOKUW

I have a big block engine in my 1967 coupe with engine block casting number of 3969854. I have been told that this is 396 engine. My numbers book does not have the block casting number in it. Can anyone point me to some good information on this engine. Thanks,Lou

    Lou -

The original usage for the 3969854 block was as a 402 (which was a .030"-over 396) in '69-'72 passenger car, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, and trucks; it was used in both 2-bolt and 4-bolt configurations.
