Ok
This relates back to a problem I had with oil in the intake head runners. The long and short of it was the intake could be out of alignment to the heads.
Here's the drawing.(crude as it is). Just re-assembled my engine. It was suggested that I tape the side intake gaskets,(leave off the front and rear), to the heads. Them measure the gap.
It does seem to the eye that the surface where the intake meets the head is slightly tapered, wider at the lower edge. This is viewed from the same angle as the drawing. I can't get a feeler gauge in this gap because the intake gasket end is there. Also seemed that the bolts ride along the upper circumference of the mounting holes, although I could still thread them in by hand with some resistance.
Any thoughts or fix?
