'67: removal of differential mounting brace

I've got my '67 frame stripped to the bone except I can't figure out how to remove the steel differental mounting bracket/brace from the frame. I've loosened both bolts but it still won't budge. What is holding me up?

    Thanks.

use of a long pry bar and a lot of force are all that are standing in your way.

      Tony,

Before the prybar- hit the rubber mounts with a propane torch. Works everytime for me.

        Tony,

If you haven't gotten it off yet, after you remove the bolts, you might want to loosely install longer ones in place, so when it comes loose it doens't come flying down.

Thanks Rob. I used a shorter pry bar yesterday, but it wouldn't budge.

            Tony,

I can't remember, but I think I was able to squirt some WD40 between the frame and the top of the mounting cushions, which I let sit a day before prying it off.

Tony - on my 67 I used a 3 -4 foot pry bar, and I also used a 3 leg puller on the sombrero at the same time. As Rob suggests, I used a longer bolt also to control the drop when it popped loose.....Craig
