    That is just too funny. I have the original bolt that attaches it to the brace. If anyone wants to know what it looked like, let me know. I didn't find the original two bolts that attached the top of the bracket. I suspect they were little pointed head guys with captured washers and recessed heads? Terry

      Terry, I have the two bolts that thread into the top. They are exacly as you described. As you know there are two holes in the nose reinforcement that these bolts go through. I guess that means a 68 nose reinforcement is also different than the later (that uses the rod).

        I felt around on my car and I can't feel the holes for the two bolts but like I said my car used the rod type support. Just one of the unique things regarding the slightly earlier 68 corvette.
