1964 Turn Signal Flasher model number???

What is the correct model number of the turn signal flasher for a 1964 Corvette without back-up lights? Is it a Signal Stat 145 and rectangular or round in shape?

James, The TIM&JG calls for a Tung Sol AP373V (round aluminum) or a Signal Stat 143 (rectangular, various colors).

The JG stating a Signal Stat 143 is not correct. A 143 is for 1963 (except B.U. lights) not 1964 unless you choose to use 1034 bulbs instead of the correct 1157 bulbs that a 1964 originally used.Check your owners or shop manual if you doubt the bulb usage.

Does the JG call for a 143 for both 63 and 64?

Yes, JG calls for Tung Sol AP373V or Signal Stat 143 for both '63/64 Corvettes without BU light. This seems to ignore the TS flasher change called out in the AIM which was released 6/6/64 incorporating the flasher PN's used in the '65 model year....

Thanks Jack. I'm trying to help someone prepare a 64 for judging and wanted to recommend the JG advised flasher, even if it is incorrect. He can reinstall the correct original unit after judging. I suppose that means changing all of the bulbs to 1034 also.
