Re: Strange 1969 seats
Klaus-----
From what I can see of them, they're likely 1969 seats. However, the seat covers are strictly some sort of aftermarket or "custom" seat covers. No such seat covers were EVER originally used on a 1969 Corvette. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I agree with Joe: 69 seats with wrong covers
Certainly looks like 69 seats with headrests and the optional shoulder harness retainer on the top of the seat back. My 69 has the same c shape retainer for the harness. The covers look like the fabric used in current "cheaper" cars and rentals lacking leather.
A better picture of the backs, lock/release or tracks would help, but I think it is safe to say they are 69 or at worst, late late late 68.

Geoffrey-----
Since this car was, apparently, at one time exported to Europe, I think that it must have spent some time in Transylvania----that's where they probably put those seat covers on it. Believe it or not, though, I've actually seen worse seat covers on Corvette seats. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Strange 1969 seats
Klaus:
These are definately '69 seats and headrest from a later '69- note the clip on the front of the seat bottom for the seat belt. My early '69 (Oct '68) did not have this clip and there are no holes in the original seat covers indicating there ever was a clip on either seat.

Re: Strange 1969 seats
Gentlemen,
thank you very much for the great help you've given.
The seat back release button is in the upper position - the 2nd design for a 69 Corvette.
Sure, I'll put the covers off and throw them away - they're too ugly.
If someone needs the shoulder harness guides - let me know. I'll put them in an envelope and send them everywhere. My convertible never had shoulder belts.
Greetings from Germany
