sounds like a marine engine manifold

Would you think the numbers reflect 1970 or so? Any site I might be directed to for marine useages? It has the Winter's snowflake on it. G.

should be a casting date on the bottom. not that i know of

The part number indicates one issued about late 1969 to early 1970. I think that this manifold MAY be the manifold once-destined for the 1970 Corvette LS-7. That engine was still-born, of course, but some of the parts for it, including the manifold, were produced and entered SERVICE. I believe that this manifold was known in SERVICE as GM #3977610. That manifold was released to SERVICE in early 1970 and discontinued in July, 1970 when the initial stock was exhausted. I'm not 100% sure of this, though.
