Re: 67-68 turn signal switch-Shee Mar

      Dan,

I believe 67 and 68 are the same. The switch was 5698520, but is out of production. I found three about a year and a half ago and all three sold right from under me. I went to Shee mar, and their switch was really pretty identical to original anyway. It also had the Remy Delco on the part, and it's hidden, except for the connection which is identical and all colored wires are the same. Check em out!

          James,
You can get them on ebay. But just be aware that people either knowing or unknowingly try to pass off the reproductions as original NOS. That happens a lot on ebay. In any case, they are on ebay. I compared an original to a reproduction once and found only a few differeces that I can recall. 1) the plastic the switch is made out of was a different color. 2) the parts number label that was wrapped around the wire leads was white with black letters on the original and red with black letters on the reproduction. 3) the connector housing on the original was black and on the reproduction it was brown. When installed only the label and the connector are visable.

You can buy from Dr Rebuild but you need to shop around on such an item because you can save considerable money. There are several places to check either online or in catalogs. For instance you can buy 1 1/6 inch tower clamps for $12.00/item from Dr Rebuild or go to Paragon and get the exact same item for $6.00. Get the picture???? So, consider all the major sources before buying. They may all buy from the same manufacture but they don't all price the same.

Check out Paragon, Ecklers, Long Island Corvette, Corvette Central, Zip Products, California Corvette, Pacific Corvette, East Coast Corvette just to name a few off the top of my head. Electric Limited also sells them and they might be the manufacture of the part. Most of the time if you contact these companies they will send you a catalog for free. Dr Rebuild charges $5.00 for a catalog. But if you buy a large order from them you can get it for free. Free is a relative term in this case. Enjoy your car. It is more enjoyable when you don't blow your money. Terry
