    C 1 spirals/ "NEW"

Thanks once again to Jack Humphrey & Joe Lucia. It amazes me from a picture how accurate you guys are. I got the Delco spirals from ebay blind, with only the sharp eyes of two of the NCRS's best, Roy Braatz ain't no slouch either ! LOL. When I opened the box, the #s are text book. I landed a front set of brandy new spirals for "BLU". She doesn't need them, but you guys know what a nut I am about making sure I have NOS parts, for what we think is the only unrestored 58 in the country. I wait with great optimism for the set for the rear. I just got the soft top back, I had it restitched. It is in such great shape. I am so happy to know that if I need to replace these parts, I couldn't get any closer to factory. I am trying to keep this car up to the NCRS standards we can be proud of. She has had 3 previous NCRS owners. I hope I am doing justice to this beautiful all American sportscar legacy. I am looking for a C 4 to autocross & just a play car. I gotta keep my little "BLU" true. I am really happy & can't thank all you guys enough for all the help you have given me.

    Debra--
Not the only unrestored 58 in the country. Here in Milwaukee alone there are two original-owner, unrestored 58's with under 40,000 miles. Neither owner has joined NCRS, and neither car sees the light of day very often. There are othe4s, I'm sure, around the country. I know of at least 30 62's---and I'm sure there are more of those, too.

Thanks Mike for letting me know. I have mentioned it before on this board & it was because I have an email from Roy Sinor that told me it was the only unrestored in the country & the other was in Germany. That was also told to me by some other NCRS judges. I did not mean to hurt anyones feelings or give false info. I will never say it again.

        Debra,
Being a Bowtie car pretty much means that the car has not been restored. Any item that shows any evidence of ever being removed from the car would automatically fail. Some of the cars that have won Bowtie awards in the past have since been restored, but for the most part, those cars remain as they were. As Mike points out, there are many cars which remain untouched, which may never see the judging field.

          Debra.

Hello from the north. There is a Silver Blue 58 about 20 miles from me that a Doctor bought new and just last year turned it over to his son. The car probably has about 50,000 miles on it by now. There out there just hiding in garages.
