'65 396/425 identification info--more please

Referring to the thread below----could we get some more info? I asked a few questions based on what I know (think??), and really need this information. Thanks in advance, G.

I don't think so, the VIN designator does not include the body codes so it's pretty much a dead end from that point, as all the plants producing fullsize cars covered all models. It's from a '65 Chevy, unless you want to try to take a swing at month of build, not much use when you already have the engine build date.
