    speed warning buzzer

I sold a NOS speed warning buzzer group 9.762 # 1386278 to a fellow member. This buzzer has 4 prongs on it. The orginal wiring for a corvette had 2 plug in's. He said when he pluged it in it started buzzing. Did and orginal buzzer have 4 places you could plug into. Any help much appreciated. john

    Re: speed warning buzzer

    John-----

The original buzzer used in PRODUCTION for all 1967-69 U-15 applications was GM #1361529. This buzzer had 3 spade terminals. However, I believe that only 2 were active in the Corvette application, those 2 being the 2 "parallel" terminals.

The GM #1361529 buzzer was discontinued from SERVICE in October, 1968 and replaced by the GM #1386278. This buzzer has 4 terminals, as you describe. However, I believe that only 2 of them are used in the Corvette application. I don't know which 2, though.
