    63 kick panels

I'm in the process of installing carpet in my 63 SWC and have come up against
a problem. I have searched the achieves here, and the web for details on how to finish off the foam filled welt at the bottom/rear of the kick panels. I found some instructions on how to remove some of the "core" material and finish off the end by placing it under the sill plate. Of the dozen or so pictures of '63 interiors I examined, none appeared the same. Some went under the front of the sill, some went under the side of the sill and some were "curled" back on themselves and weren't under the sillplate at all.
I've linked to some examples of this. If some one could point me in the right direction for installing these pieces, I could sleep tonight.
    Thanks again,
    John

On mine both the metal trim piece and the vinyl of the kick panel are tucked under the corner of the sill plate.

      Hi again Ken,

What metal trim piece? On the kick panel? Does this mean I'm going shopping again?
Do your pieces tuck under the front edge, or the inside-front edge of the
sill plate? Look closely at the attached pictures and you'll see it both ways.
      Thanks again,
      John

I quess you did say "corner" , I do know where that's at.
Ken, was there a kickpanel cover of some sort available from the factory,
I mean like floor mats were? The reason I ask is the picture of the one tan interior car(attached) looks like it has a kick panel cover over the carpet, and this guy says the car is 100% original with only 6,000 miles.

There is a metal trim piece that fits just inside the rolled vinyl and folllows the curve of the door Jamb, the bottom fits under the sill plare with the empty part of the vinyl roll.

            thank you Bill,
It's always easier to assemble if you've got ALL the parts.
Now I guess it back to the parts catalogs. Hope someone repops this.
