    Sting Ray Racer restoration completed

    It's good to see that GM is still investing in their heritage. Ed Welburn, VP Design, joined GM Design during the Mitchell era and was the driving force behind the restoration. The following link is the GM press release announcing completion of the project:

      Thanks Duke, it is very interesting to me as I was one of the people that added to the patina of thoes seats when it was at Chevrolet Engineering for some work in the early 60s.

        too bad they got their facts wrong

        The Elvis movie wasn't Viva Las Vegas in 1964 but Clambake in 1967, where the Stingray is traded for a motorcycle to let the oil heir appear to be a ski instructor.


        In 1964, it appeared in "Route 66".
