61 PGlide Part Number

Want to find out the application of these part numbers found on a 1961
Powerglide cast iron transmission. I'm trying to confirm that this is the
trans for a Corvette rather than a Chev passenger car.

Also found this number on the transmission casting, lower left
(looking towards rear)where the trans bolts to the engine.
374235 (clearly only 6 digits)
What do you suppose this number means?

I'm at the office with no access to any of my books/numbers--but the easiest way to differentiate between a Corvette powerglide and a non-Corvette is the tailshaft housing. If it has tapped bosses for shifter mount, it is Corvette.

The big difference between the car and Corvette is the tail housing 56 to 61 only
The shifter linkage on the L/S of the trans only- all cast iron's
The torque converter and clutch plates
The Safety switch
Other wise you can use a car trans if the out put shaft is the right length by using the tail housing (Corvette) and trans shifter linkage modified for the safety switch (rod) .
