I need a correct water pump for my split window. Is there someone who sells them already rebuilt or do I hunt for a used one and hunt for a rebuild kit?

Re: 63 water pump?
Joe,
Isn't someone making a reproduction of the "609" water pump? Thought I read something about that recently.
Are hens teeth really rare or is that just a fable from Arkansas?- Top

Re: 63 water pump?
I got a 609 off of Ebay back in March for $155. I couldn't tell you whether it's original or a repro, but it's clearly been rebuilt. I've seen a couple come across Ebay in the last 12 months, they're definitely not all that rare. If anyone would like to see pics and declare whether it's real/repro/a forgery/etc, I'm happy to shoot and post.- Top

Re: 63 water pump? 340 hp
Thanks for everyones responses, I do have a 340hp. The bearing on the pump went bad and when the pulley wobbled it wore a slice into the casting. I am lucky the fan didn't ruin the shielding.- Top

Looks 'funky' to me...
The real McCoy '609 water pumps I've seen have NO 'flat' on the side of the upper boss to give clearance for deep dispersion water pump pulleys... The '185 water pump that followed the '609 had a slightly 'fatter' upper boss and DID have a flat on the side for pulley clearance. The '326 water pump that followed the '185 had an even 'fatter' upper boss and the flat on its side for pulley clearance was even MORE pronounced!
So, a picture of what's supposed to be a real McCoy '609 water pump with a flat on the side of the upper boss tells me something's wrong here...- Top

Re: Looks 'funky' to me...
Contact Andy Cannizzo at "63's are Me". He either has, or knows someone who has "ANY" part for a 63.
He has a lot of knowledge on 63's , and his parts are absolutely 100% correct.
The downside is that he wants top $$ for everything.
Call him at 732-583-5378. He is located in New Jersey, but ships everywhere.- Top
