I am ready to attempt to install the carpeting in my 65 conv. with an Al Knoch carpet set. Is there a good detailed set of instructions anywhere that I might get to help me with this project? I am a first timer at this and want to do it right. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
On the seats, remove the seat brackets from the bottom the seats and use them as a template for cutting the bolt hole locations for the seats. Also, be careful of how much you cut around the center console area. That is where I had a slight overcut when I did mine. Use a heat gun to warm the carpet up to make it lay flatter. Measure 10 times, cut once!! Good luck.
the bottom of the carpet to remove any residual plasticizer that'll prevent glue/adhesive from sticking the carpet to the underlying jute. Also, laying the carpet flat and letting the sun 'cook' the wrinkles from pack out of it helps too...
