I just purchased a 1966 convertible in fair condition. It is a #'s matching 327/300 that is a solid car, but needs many cosmetic parts, such as a headlight motor switch, heater knobs, gas cap, carpeting, etc. It also has the wrong intake, carb and valve covers. Any suggestions as to where I should go for parts? As I replace these items, I want to make sure that I do it right so that I don't have to do it again for future judging. Thanks Pat D. #32462

Re: 66 conv. parts
Pat-Congrats on the 66,I own one myself.I've got a 66 300 intake on mine that has the wrong date for my car.I have the replacement already to put on.Email me offsite with your Vin# and we can see if it falls in your build time.I recommend Corvette Central here in Michigan. They really bend over backwards to satisfy the customer.Offline i'll give you a few more vendors i've had dealing with. Re: 66 conv. parts
I agree that Corvette Central is an excellent vendor, and probably has the best overall prices on most parts. Chicago Corvette is a bit pricier, but they have a lot of used items such as manifolds, small carb parts, heads, etc. I'd get on the net and order a catalog from all of the major suppliers. Most are free.- Top

Pat. Don't forget, if you are an NCRS member, try puting all your part needs in the form of an ad in the driveline. Wanted! parts etc. I have had some of the most amazing results. You wouldn't believe some of the stuff I've gotten! Entire original LT-1 exhaust system with all pipes, original mufflers, and clamps for $200. Got a nos set of Po2 hubcaps in unopened boxes for $50 each! Try it, there's 14,000 members out there with stuff.- Top
