paint color for midyear side exhaust cov

I would like to know what supplier has the correct color of paint that is used on the painted area of the side exhaust covers for midyears.

    Hi Mr. Kindschy!

I used Krylon "Dull Aluminum" in the 12oz spray can. The most difficult part of the procedure is accurately masking (paint store will carry 1/4" masking tape) and re-rivetting the front bracket. I also removed the inner insulators & paited a semi-flat black. The "Dull Aluminum" color is not exact but quite close & readily available.

I don't recall any paint on my side pipe covers (65). They are anodized alum. There are a few venders that can re-do them for you. I have used a company called "Buff-it". I sent them my 71 rocker pannels. They did a beautiful job. Costs in the 80-100$ range. I'm sorry I don't have their Number anymore, maybe someone else has it.
