I have obtained a spare Kelsey 15" x 5" Rim and would appreciate assistance in identifying it's application. It is Stamped: Kelsey AL D 15 x 5 JJ 9 4 on the inner surface. It is a 4 3/4" bolt pattern with GM Stamped near the center. It has two "nubs" near the valve stem hole. I suspect it is an older rim given it's size but unsure of the date coding. Thanks for any comments or input.

If it has sufficient offset to clear a disc brake rotor, is indeed 5" & has the four nubs at 90 degrees to capture a small lug cover type hubcap, you may have a station wagon/taxi/police car rim from late '60s. I'll have to check some numbers among my papers at home -- will post again this evening when I get a look. The 'D' seems familiar & I have one of these rims as a spare on my '66.

Re: Kelsey 15" x 5" Rim I.D.
I purchased a set of five rims for my 63-SWC while at Carlisle last year. They were all supposed to be 63 rims. Three of the rims are date coded 63, one 64 and one 65. All the rims have the two nubs next to the valve stem. I am not sure if there were any other years that had the nubs.

Ray, were these 5" rims? I believe they are 5.5? Did mid years use 5" steel wheels?
My drawing, which I believe covers the 57-62 5" rim and subsequent service wheels has no nubs near the valve stem hole. Not sure what this wheel is that started this thread.

Re: Kelsey 15" x 5" Rim I.D.
If this is truly a JJ rim and not a double hit of a J it is a newer wheel than 64 if it is a Chev wheel per Colvins book.
According to my 53-72 parts book the JJ rim did not get used on a vette until '69 and it was a 8" rim.

Found my notes & such with references to 67, 68, 69, 70 chev parts catalogs;
15x5JJ used on 67 pass w/disc brakes (#3901696) 68 pass exc SW (#3928262), 69-70 pass exc SW (#3964071, YM code) I thought I had the offset & center hole sizes, but couldn't locate that info. Not sure how to interpret the '..94..' stamping
Maybe this will help.
