    C1 soft top bracket

I have a 61 HT vette with a soft top bracket attached ONLY on the drivers side. Looking closely at the drivers and passenger side all bolts and surrounding area appears to never have been disturbed. Has anyone ever seen this before. I'd like to restore my car the way it came from the factory and postulate the guy working the drivers side attached the bracket without looking at the passenger side crayon mark "HT", while the passenger worker appropriately did not attach the bracket. If no one has ever seen this, I'll remove the bracket so as to be "correct" for judging.
    Thanks,
    Ron

Leave it. When you take it for judging, have a discussion with the team leader prior to judging, and let him know of the apparent anomaly, show him the pics you have, and trust that he has the wisdom to make the correct call. During the dozen-lus years that I was 62 team leader, I dealt with a number of situations like this. It spoke volumes to me that the owner knew the "problem", and talked with me ahead of time. It's obvious to a team leader, when you talk with them ahead of time, that you've done your homework, know that this is atypical, but believe that it is correct for your car only.
I would leave it if you truly believethat's the way your car came!
By the wy, there were likely two different people on the line, one on each side. One recognized a potty break opportunity--the other wasn't paying attention.

Thanks! That was my original inclination.
