    C1 ammeter capacitor bracket?

So it's Friday night, which means random websurfing once the kids are asleep. Hadn't been to Doc Rebuild.com in a while and I see a listing for 'extra parts'. Among these is a picture of two used ammeter caps with a cute little bracket. I purchased a 'refurbished' cap a while back but don't (of course) have the bracket. Does anyone have a picture of how this cap is supposed to mount behind the gauge cluster?

    In my limited experience...

...I've never seen a 1956 - 1962 amp cap that utilized a mounting bracket, but always anxious to learn...

      Your copy of the AIM...

(Assy Instruction Manual) will show you how the Delco Remy 7270568 capacitor installed to the ammeter. There is no mounting bracket. The part had two eyeloop crimp connectors on its mounting leads and simply installed over the existing screw terminals of the ammeter and the dash cluster's ground stud.

This was an axial lead, wax-foil, capacitor with insulation over the lead wires. It's often called the 'ammeter capacitor' due to where/how it was installed in the car, but it's real mission in life was to thwart switching transients associated with turning the headlights ON/OFF as well as switching between Hi & Lo beam operation...
